This is the initial mock-up of the profile verification fixture designed for the Coanda disk wing's aerofoil profile pattern. The disk wing comprises eight moulded sections produced from the pattern, emphasizing the critical importance of profile precision. The final diameter of the assembled wing will be slightly less than one metre.
The wing will be the key part of an airflow experiment aimed at comparing the predicted lift-to-induced-power ratio derived from a Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) analysis.
