The 2D Engineering drawing is the definitive standard for engineering parts and assemblies.
Geometric tolerancing is the preferred option for precision part features and inspection.
Engineering drawing Inspection checking by our drafting professionals group
A sample of over 200 Inspection checks we do.
Dimensions : Verify that all dimensions are accurate, consistent, and comply with design requirements. Check for dimension errors, missing dimensions, and conflicting dimensions between views. ISO/ASME/DefStan: Verify compliance with International product specifications where appropriate. Tolerances: Ensure that tolerance requirements are clearly specified and adhered to throughout the drawing. Check for appropriate geometric tolerances, surface finishes, and fits between mating parts. Geometry: Verify the geometric accuracy of shapes, profiles, and features depicted in the drawing. Check for symmetry, concentricity, parallelism, perpendicularity, and other geometric properties as required by the design. Annotations and Notes: Review all annotations, notes, and callouts to ensure clarity and completeness. Check for spelling errors, grammatical inconsistencies, and ambiguous or misleading information. Title Block: Verify that the title block contains all necessary information, including drawing title, part number, revision number, scale, date, and relevant project or company details. Ensure consistency with project documentation standards. Views and Projections: Check the arrangement and orientation of views to ensure that they provide a comprehensive representation of the object. Verify that views are correctly aligned, scaled, and projected according to industry standards. Symbols and Conventions: Review symbols, labels, and conventions used in the drawing to ensure consistency and adherence to standards. Check for correct usage of symbols for features, materials, welding, surface finishes, and other annotations. Assembly and Interference: Verify the assembly details to ensure proper fit, clearance, and alignment between mating parts. Check for interferences, clashes, or conflicts that may arise during assembly or operation. Material Specifications: Check material specifications and material callouts to ensure that the correct materials are specified for each component. Verify material properties, grades, and standards compliance as required by the design. Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that the drawing complies with relevant industry standards, regulations, and codes. Check for compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards applicable to the project or product. Revision Control: Verify the revision history and revision control information to ensure that the drawing is up-to-date and reflects the latest design changes. Check for consistency between the drawing and associated documentation. Checklist Completion: Use a rigorous and thoroughly tested checklist proofing procedure to systematically review all aspects of the drawing, ensuring that object is error free and fit for manufacture. Notes: Verify Notes are accurate and complete. Abreviations: Verify compliance with a preferred standard. Part Baloons and Leaders: Correctly relate to parts and item lists. Parts and Items Lists: Are in agreement with drawings. Drawing Templates: Compliant with preferred format and size. Part Views: Views all datums, features, dimensions and tolerances. Projections: First or Third Angle as appropriate and correct symbol displayed.
